I just posted an update to Default Folder X that corrects a few issues that have come up:

Jettison automatically ejects external disks from your Mac before your computer goes to sleep and remounts them when it wakes. Simplify those last few seconds when you grab your MacBook and run out the door. Just close the lid and Jettison will automatically eject your backup drive, iPod, or whatever is connected so you can safely unplug it.

2. If you upgraded from an existing Mac App Store license, Jettison now correctly shows that in its About box. Corrected some French localization errors.

• Fixed a bug in which Default Folder X’s Get Info dialog would fail to prompt you for a file when invoked from the menubar while there was no file dialog active.
• On Mac OS 10.8.5, Default Folder X could cause Save sheets to get progressively smaller. This has been fixed.
• Corrected a compatibility issue with Glyphs for Mac.

If you’re running Mac OS 10.8.5 you should definitely install the update immediately. Or if you use the Glyphs font editing app or rely on Default Folder X’s Get Info feature, grab the update now. Otherwise, it’s not crucial that you rush to get the new version.

And what if you decide not to leave, and open your MacBook back up? Jettison will check to see if your drives are still connected and will mount them back on the Desktop if they're there.
